The only reward we sought was the knowledge that we were all that stood between a life of freedom for the people of Azeroth and unending darkness. But we became complacent. Our bellies grew fat from feast and we forgot the ancient texts that gave us purpose. Our focus was distorted by shiny baubels that would soon turn to dust. Now, a new evil threatens all we swore to protect. The Lich King has arisen and he commands an unholy army. An army created from ash and shadow. An army whose sole purpose is the destruction of all we hold dear. Where others would cower and lament at the impending doom, we have been given purpose.
